step 1: walmart obtains a high-profile hard-to-find item.
step 2: walmart sells this item only as a “bundle” with accessories to increase their profit.
step 3: some douche like me buys one.
step 4: walmart ships all the accessories and charges you for them.
step 5: walmart delays the shipping date of your hard-to-find item, consistently, akin to “chasing [...]

it just occured to me.. what if.. purely hypothetically, apple decided to have an “ipod update” for all ipods that just so happened to carry an extremely malicious and contagious windows virus?
edit: it’s funny re-reading this post.  something similar to this actually happened.

you do realize we’re nothing more than sentient animals, right?
there’s no point in ignoring the simplest (and most obvious) answer to a question solely because you don’t like it. sure you can fabricate all kinds of answers to “the meaning of life” and “why are we here”, but in the end the question is [...]

have you seen the anti-smoking and anti-pot commercials lately?
am i the only one who thinks they are getting utterly ridiculous? i’ve had pot a grand total of 3 times in my 22 year life, and i’m pretty sure that nothing i’ve seen in these commercials describes the effect it had on me at that moment, [...]

i’ve been doing a lot of thinking.. a whole lot.
it occurs to me that the world is changing rapidly enough to merit both my attention and action. i’m not altruistic enough to care what happens to humanity, but for the brief period that i exist, i would rather that MY life be pleasant. [...]

Just a few, very quick notes on yesterday’s Macworld.

So here I am, setting on Windows, installing SimCity.. and so far I’ve had to download 2 different pieces of software just to unzip the file and mount the disc image.
Everything that is quick, easy and fast on OS X is so sloooooooow on Windows.. it took over 5 minutes just to unrar a [...]

For what it’s worth, all of these pieces of software officially now have my seal of approval. I have switched from Safari to Firefox (Mac), Bittorrent to Transmission (also Mac), MySpace to Blogger and I’ve started using Digg rather frequently.
All are worthwhile and you should check them out, here ya go:

Blogger – Google Blog [...]

Weird combination? Hell, yes. There’s going to be a lot of strange posts for a while, I’ve had a lot on my mind and no way to let it out.
I was always wary of trackpads, even when I got my first laptop. The first thing I would do when getting it out [...]
